Corales Puntacana Resort & Club PGA Championship Tour
We have very exciting and positive news to share with you, one which brings hope to Dominican Republic and our community at Puntacana Resort & Club, but specially to all the golf aficionados and players who have been waiting with so much anticipation for this magnificent event.
The beauty of this tournament is that it’s actually extremely fun for the whole family, not just golfers. The event host takes great care in making sure everyone has a memorable time by organizing activities for each day, which go from fashion shows, cocktails, live music, DJs, food trucks, souvenirs, kids’ activities and much more.
We must also mention the breathtaking settings, featuring six holes overlooking the Caribbean Sea towards one side, and all the magnificent residential estates, towards the other. As you can imagine these happy home owners have a front row view to the tournament. Corales is the most exclusive and private neighborhood in Puntacana Resort & Club, it has its own private beach called Iguana Cove, and an airport terminal welcoming private flights only, just two minutes away. Imagine that!
The PGA Tour Commissionar Jay Monahan stated the following: “The health and safety of all associated with the PGA TOUR and our global community continues to be our No. 1 priority, and our hope is to play a role – responsibly – in the world’s return to enjoying the things we love. Today’s announcement is another positive step for our fans and players as we look toward the future, but as we’ve stressed on several occasions, we will resume competition only when – working closely with our tournaments, partners and communities – it is considered safe to do so under the guidance of the leading public health authorities.”
In this sense the organization remains in constant communication with the local health authorities, the CDC and OMS to closely monitor the evolution of COVID-19.
